Barack Obama is our 44th President of the United States. What a historical day this is. I am SO excited for change, for a hopeful outlook. We all need it so badly.
Georgie and I went to vote for Barack yesterday. My polling place was right across the street at a church, which made it very easy for me. We went in and I voted on paper instead of electronic. Something about those machines make me nervous. It was liberating. I got my sticker and headed home. Last night watching his speech, I have to admit, I cried. I looked at Georgie and hoped that this country would begin to go in a better direction.
On another note: Georgie is 7 weeks old today. I didn’t think that I would be home with him still. Thank God I am, because I feel like he has had so many firsts this week. He is becoming so aware of himself and his surroundings. These precious moments are so wonderful.
Today we are going to a friends house to get his hand and foot prints on cement ornaments. I am very excited to see what they will look like.
